Grzegorza Piramowicza. Pocz\u0105tki istnienia szko\u0142y wi\u0105\u017c\u0105 si\u0119 z za\u0142o\u017ceniem Pa\u0144stwowego Seminarium Nauczycielskiego m\u0119skiego im. Grzegorza Piramowicza w Augustowie, kt\u00f3re powsta\u0142o w wyniku rozdzielenia suwalskiego PSN na m\u0119skie i \u017ce\u0144skie. Wprawdzie lokalne w\u0142adze i inteligencja ubiega\u0142y si\u0119 o powstanie szko\u0142y \u015bredniej typu gimnazjalnego, ale sta\u0142o si\u0119 inaczej. Budynek seminarium zosta\u0142 wzniesiony w ci\u0105gu roku i ju\u017c 1 pa\u017adziernika 1927 roku rozpocz\u0119\u0142o ono prac\u0119. Obowi\u0105zki dyrektora od roku 1928\/29 a\u017c do ko\u0144ca istnienia seminarium, a potem gimnazjum i liceum, tj. do roku 1939, pe\u0142ni\u0142 Witold Wo\u0142osewicz. Seminarzy\u015bci byli kszta\u0142ceni wszechstronnie. Zdobywali wiedz\u0119, umiej\u0119tno\u015bci organizatorskie, wyrabiali sprawno\u015b\u0107 fizyczn\u0105, rozwijali zdolno\u015bci muzyczne, a\u00a0niekt\u00f3rzy nawet aktorskie. Szko\u0142a wychowywa\u0142a w duchu patriotycznym, a tak\u017ce religijnym. Gdy wesz\u0142a w \u017cycie ustawa o reformie szkolnictwa, rozpocz\u0105\u0142 si\u0119 proces wygasania seminarium i w to miejsce powsta\u0142o gimnazjum. Ostatni rocznik seminarzyst\u00f3w zda\u0142 matur\u0119 w czerwcu 1936 roku, za\u015b od roku szkolnego 1933\/34 powo\u0142ano w budynku seminarium Pa\u0144stwowe Gimnazjum Koedukacyjne.
